Sue taught us how to design and cut out our own stencils. We then used acrylic paints to daub the color onto the stencils to create our own designs. People were quite happy with the results and many would create stencils on their own. Sue spent time teaching us about "bridges" so that the stencil would stay together upon cutting, and also making parts, like in a twig, that could be stenciled multiple times to create the pattern.
